    Hello Nikolas
This sounds as if it is going wrong at the point where you are first going to the 3D view, which would sugest that you may need new graphics drivers.

    Please look at:
    http://support.moviestorm.co.uk/kb/troubleshooting/graphical-problems

and either update your graphics drivers, or send me the dxdiag.txt, and I can further advise on how to get thigns going.

    Ben,

Thanks for your help. I looked at your link and tried downloading new HP
drivers and that did not help. Attached is the DxDiag info so maybe you
    can help.

When I use MovieStorm, I can use certain Starter Movies just fine but
cannot use all of them and also cannot use Empty Sets at all. Does this
still sound like a graphic card problem?

    Hi Nikolas
Your dxdiag indicates that you have an Intel Series 4 graphics chip, with drivers dated 8/25/2010.
To get updated drivers, try going to
    http://downloadcenter.intel.com/
And selecting Graphics->Laptop Graphics->HD->Mobile Intel Series 4 Graphics Media Accelerator.
That shoudl let you download the most recent drivers to install them.

Once they are installed, try Moviestorm again - hopefully it should work correctly when you go on set, now. But if it doesnt, please try going to the graphics settings menu, and un-ticking the 'shaders' tick, and trying things again.

    Ben,

Thank you we got it working (sort of)...

we could not get the drivers to install. downloading from the screen shot
below it gave us an error message which is also below.

I can use moviestorm now without shadows. which is an improvement. Can you
help me to get moviestorm working with the shadows (they are quite
    important).

I'm afraid that shadows requires shaders to be on, which may not be a possibility without getting a graphics card. The built in intel graphics chips are fairly basic, and I dont think the one you have can be made to support our shadows.

    Sorry,
